LellyBean bags

For those of you who follow me on twitter you would have seen me post a picture with my own personalised jute bag made by LellyBeans.

The bag was designed and made by my wonderful friend Lesley, aka LellyBeans, who I stayed with in Dubai. I was lucky enough to be there for the creation of my bag watching what started as an outline turn into me!

LellyBeans is a very talented artist, she starts off with a basic outline of the eyes and face and slowly builds this up into a character. My bag took around three hours to make, the best bit for me was seeing my hair come to life and slowly fill up the space on the bag — which is my favourite feature!

I chose to have one of the larger style bags, which I used as a beach/pool bag as well as a shopping bag whilst in Dubai. It fits a huge amount and the fabric of the bag means that I don’t feel like I am overloading it.

You can see pictures of the creation of the bag on the LellyBeans facebook page as well all the other bag and more information.

Would love to know what you think of the bag and please head to Facebook to like the page and follow on LellyBeans on twitter.

What I took on holiday….

I have returned from Cyprus somewhat rested and a little tanned even after I spent all the time in the shade!

I thought I would start off with sharing the makeup I decided to take with me. I tried to stick to essentials and not go overboard with the packing, even then there are still a few things I didn’t end up using. The temperature averaged mid-30s (celsius) so I knew that makeup in the day wasn’t going to be an option, I did manage a few eye looks in the evening which I will share in another post.

Face:
Bella Pierre mineral foundation - used 5+ times
Bourgeois mineral radiance - used 4 times
Witch concealer stick - used 5+ times
Garnier BB Cream - used daily
Garnier eye concealer - used 4 times
Bare minerals night treatment - used nightly
ELF brow kit (shown above) - used 5+ times

Eyes:
Sleek Mediterranean palette - used 3 times
Urban Decay double ended eyeliner - used 3 times
Sleek luminaire - used once
Urban decay primer potion - used 3 times
Benefit coralista blush (not sure why I put this with the eye photo!) - used 5+ times

Lips:
Sleek pout polish - Monte Carlo - used 5+ times
Sleek pout polish - Bonaire - used once
L’Oreal Glam Shine - used once

Brushes:
Bella Pierre foundation and blush brush
ELF blush brush
Avon shadow brush
Smashbox shadow brush
Sonia Kashuk crease and angled brush

I assume a few of your spotted the BB cream added in the collection which I was gifted just before my holiday after gazing at in Superdrug on a few occasions. It ended up being one of my holiday essentials, a full review will be posted soon!

I found myself going back to the same items so there were a few products I didn’t use. The Garnier eye roll on which I use daily normally made my eyes water, I assume because of the heat and possibly the mix of sunscreen underneath so I could only use it in the evenings.

I’m quite impressed with my light packing, how much makeup do you normally take?

The “Rocco" Bag

I had always promised myself a designer handbag with my first pay check but when it came down to it I chickened out! After seeing a number of bloggers featuring this bag I shamelessly have jumped on the bandwagon and decided this would be my substitute.

I made my order from a UK eBay seller which meant I didn’t have to wait too long for arrival. With the postage I paid around £32 which aside from my Miche bag is the most I have ever paid.

The bag is actually a lot bigger than I had thought in the photographs. But that isn’t a negative, the space inside is huge and I like being able to fit so much in. The quality is far better than I had expected and the bag feels very sturdy.

Needless to say, I love this bag. I felt very glamourous wondering around the shops with it at the weekend, I am hoping that everyone knows that feeling I am talking about. I am even considering getting the nude colour with shoulder straps should it ever come back in stock…..after all I have made such a huge saving…...
