My Ultimate Summer Driving Playlist‏

 I don’t usually do lifestyle/personal posts but the latest competition by MoneySupermarket was just too good to pass up.

MoneySupermarket asked bloggers to put together their ultimate summer driving playlist so I spent the best part of an afternoon reminiscing and listening to the old songs I blasted on my stereo driving between university and home and even though the list could go on indefinitely I managed to narrow it down to 16 songs.

I found a parcel on my bed this morning and knew instantly what it was, having entered a give-away on Truly Madly Beauty’s blogspot and won, I was anticipating its arrival.

First inside the parcel, 3 polishes by 17. Lilac storm, mint choc chip and orange soda. I can’t decide which of these I like more!  

The main prize, a now unavailable holographic nail polish by GOSH.

How stunning is the holographic nail polish?! In my excitement I only tried it on the one nail but now I can’t stop staring at it, it almost looks surreal. I also love the colours of the other polishes also included, I don’t actually have any similar in my collection and I have never tried 17 polishes so I am looking forward to trying these out. In fact before this I had also never tried GOSH so I will definitely be checking out the rest of their range on my next shopping trip.

omgPOLISHem 100 followers giveaway!

Kum Kum Contest Entry with Nails of the Week

I feel like I am being very efficient with my blog post today, this is a combined pearls inspired nails of the week (hopefully passing as a contest entry) along with a link to said contest!

Firstly I would like to direct everyone to a competition being hosted by the beautiful Kaushal at BeautyFulfilled for the gorgeous fresh water pearl earrings shown below by Kum Kum.

Now for my pearl inspired nails of the day, I thought what is more pearl inspired than my favourite natural pearl polish by Revlon. I know that it is not massively creative on my part but having an interview yesterday I also wanted something easier than a french manicure and I am also going away this weekend (this colour is perfect for not clashing with outfits and being very forgiving if any chips occur) so it all seemed to link together nicely! The image was taken with flash since that give the best representation. I like how it is subtle enough to give colour but not as dull as if I had decided to leave my nails polish free.
